Exciting News… I wanted to share some good news and some bad news with everyone. We’ll start with the bad news - this post is going to be my last on this blog. Thank you so much to everyone who has followed and has kept up with this for the last few months. This job has been amazing opportunity to do some crazy things I never dreamed I would do! I’m so glad I’ve gotten to share some bits and pieces on here. Now, for the good news - I have started a new blog that will be keeping up with my next life journey. I’m moving to New York City! This blog is much more personal as it’s detailing the ins-and-outs of my life, but I will still put some fun ideas and things on there (I still love all things event-planning!). Duck Jam 2010 This weekend we are hosting Duck Jam 2010 in Bryan/College Station. Our team at Global has been working hard to get ready for it, and we are so excited it’s here! If you live in the area or want to travel in, come out Friday and Saturday to Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater for live music, a BBQ cookoff, and more! This year’s Friday lineup includes Randy Rogers Band, Coolio, Wade Bowen, and Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights. Saturday will feature Rich O’Toole, Kyle Park, .38 Special, and the amazing headliner - Willie Nelson! Not only is it sure to be a great concert, but it also supports a great cause - Ducks Unlimited! Miranda Lambert This Friday we are going to be catering for Miranda Lambert’s show in Belton, TX. It’s called Once Wed, and it’s tag line sums it up perfectly - “designer weddings for less”. They have everything from do-it-yourself projects, to creative ideas, lists of vendors, and more. The blog started off as a free listing service for wedding dresses after its founder, Emily, sold her dress online and realized how few resources there are for other women looking to do so the same. It has since exploded into a sensational resource for brides, receiving critical acclaim from people throughout the industry. A New Style Of Dresses… Today I just wanted to share some exciting news in the wedding world! It has been officially announced that one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie, is going to be debuting their very own bridal collection beginning in Spring 2011! They are going to feature heirloom wedding gowns (starting at $750), bridesmaid dresses (starting at $200), accessories, and gifts designed with their signature, feminine feel. Their clothes have a very particular look to them, so this may not be for everyone; however I am just thrilled about this about this! Not much has been revealed so far, but over the next few months, keep your eyes peeled. I can’t wait to see what they have!
